About My Writing

They'll mostly be romances and I don't proofread anything. I write for fun. I'm not gramatically correct, I can't spell worth crap, and I don't feel the need to work on it after I finish. If I were going to enter something into a contest or perhaps submit something to hopefully be considered for publication then I would proofread. Most likely I would over proofread and then submit for others to read for them to do as well. That's the way I roll.

I love seeing emotion spark in others when they read. Even if it doesn't, though, it always sparks something within me, which makes writing it all worthwhile.

About Me

Well I am a 20 year old girl who loves to write. I'm a hopeless romantic that believes everything happens for a reason.

I first started writing in the 6th grade. Writing for fun had never even crossed my mind, but my best friend at the time loved writing Fan Fiction. It's amazing at how terrible I was back then and I laugh at remembering how she always told me how good I was and to keep at it.

At first I wrote only poetry. I would post it up on Poetry.com since that's what I thought I was supposed to do. I had post stuff under my real name and the penname of Anna Bradley. However, I stopped submitting poems after I noticed they all seemed to get accepted to the 'semifinals' of a contest and wanted me to spend money to attend. It wasn't until later I figured out what a 'vanity publisher' was. Considering I was only in the 6th grade, I didn't beat myself up too much about it. ^^

Not much later than that I stopped writing poetry and began writing fan fiction. I decided to post these fan fics on Fanfiction.net under the name of Lunamooncat to see what kind of feedback I would receive on these things. Even though I was still young, the reviews I recieved were inspiring. I continued to write fanfiction and post some things on there. Over time I changed my penname on Fanfiction.net to Lunamooncat > Nicole Patterson > Nicole Gaskill > to the current Anna Gaskill.

For a few years I quit writing and became addicted to an online mmorpg. I don't regret it though. If anything I have met so many different interesting people from all over who have now helped inspire me to write more now that I'm finished playing.

When I quit the game I decided to start writing again. My friend was constantly sending me his poetry to review and I realized how much I really missed it.

I decided that I didn't want to write as much fan fiction anymore and try my hand at original short stories of my own. So I created an account to Fictionpress.com to see what kind of feedback I could get like I had on Fanfiction.net. However, that was short lived as I decided to put all my original stuff on a website of my own.

I'm interested in anything fantasy, mythical, and mystical. When I'm not writing I'm playing some kind of RPG video game on my game system. RPGs are my favorite considering it's like you're being sucked into a different world whenever you play. I have two evil puppy dogs that are the cutest things in the world and I love my family with all my heart. I may be young in years, but I have always been told I don't act my own age. I think I do though.
